HOW CAN I MANAGE MY SKIN CONDITIONS NATURALLY?

Eczema, or any skin condition, such as psoriasis or acne, can be extremely painful and frustrating for those suffering from it. It is not easy to manage dry and itchy skin, even more so if it is your little ones suffering from it. Over the many years that I have been in this industry, clients have asked me what they can do to manage their skin issues. 

While it is without a doubt that my team has worked tirelessly to formulate Love My Skin, featuring a blend of rose, geranium, lavender essential oils and shea butter in a water-based formulation, there are also other natural approaches that one can take to manage skin conditions. 

Using Aloe Vera To Ease The Itch

It is common knowledge that aloe vera is beneficial and effective for the skin. Besides keeping your skin feeling smooth and nourished, aloe vera has an anti-bacterial and anti-fungal effect, which is quite helpful in the fight against eczema, or any other skin conditions. When your skin is irritated and broken, as in the case of those suffering from eczema or psoriasis, you are more prone to the introduction of bacteria and fungal infections; thus, aloe vera would be beneficial in keeping those problems at bay while soothing your skin temporarily. 

Maintaining A Healthy Gut System

Another important thing to note is maintaining a healthy gut when battling skin conditions. More often than not, our skin condition flare-ups result from what we eat – an unhealthy diet can almost certainly trigger a flare-up, which is something we would want to avoid!

So you must take note of what types of food results in a flare-up of your condition and avoid that. It is usually advised to introduce healthy fats into your diet and boost your hydration level – water is the key to this! Avoid fried and processed foods, and opt for whole natural foods, such as nuts (unless you are allergic to them), beans, fruits and vegetables. Be mindful of your food source to avoid any possible genetically modified foods or harmful pesticides or substances. 

Also, do make it a point to introduce probiotics to your diet, as it helps strengthen your immune system and gut health. This can be in the form of apple cider vinegar, yoghurt, kombucha, raw cheese, and even dark chocolate! 

Caring For Your Skin

With these few tips mentioned above, it is also crucial to give your skin the TLC (tender, love and care) needed.
